Why we built Kiddly
Parents told us the same story again and again: hours lost to scattered Facebook posts, outdated centre websites, and word-of-mouth dead ends—especially when a spot had to open yesterday.
Educators, meanwhile, were doing incredible work with little visibility beyond their immediate neighbourhood. We built Kiddly to bring both sides together with accurate maps, filters, and profiles that respect how childcare actually works in Canada.
Our mission
Finding childcare shouldn't feel like a maze. We bring listings, maps, filters, and provider stories into one place so parents spend less time searching and more time choosing care that fits their child and schedule.
For educators and centres, Kiddly is a way to be found by local families, share photos and program details, and keep availability up to date—without replacing the relationships that make great care work.
What Kiddly helps you do
Search & filter
Map and list views, age groups, care types, distance, and availability— tuned for how parents actually hunt for spots.
Compare profiles
Photos, hours, languages, program highlights, reviews, and last-updated availability in one place.
Connect directly
Families reach providers through profile contact forms. Enrollment and tours stay between you and the program.
What we believe
Trust first
Clear profiles, licensing details where available, and honest availability—so families can compare with confidence.
Local by design
Search on the map, filter by neighbourhood, and discover licensed centres and family dayhomes near home or work.
Built for both sides
Parents search for free. Educators and centres can create or claim listings to reach families actively looking for care.
Community-minded
Childcare is personal. We aim to make discovery simpler and help strong programs get the visibility they deserve.
Built for Canada
Childcare is provincially regulated—and every community has its own mix of centres, dayhomes, and preschools. Kiddly is designed around that reality, not a one-size-fits-all directory.
- Listings span family dayhomes, childcare centres, preschools, and before- and after-school programs.
- Licensed and private care are labelled clearly so families know what they are comparing.
- Providers control their own photos, hours, and availability from the dashboard.
- Rules and subsidy programs differ by province—we surface details; programs confirm eligibility.

What Kiddly is—and isn't
Transparency matters when families are making one of their most important decisions.
- We do not operate childcare centres or employ educators.
- We do not guarantee spots, waitlist placement, or subsidy approval.
- We do not replace provincial licensing bodies or inspection reports.
- We do not charge parents to search, save favourites, or send inquiries.
